Remote Viewer at Occupy DC, Freedom Square, 6 October 2011.

A young Bubble, in 2010.

Memorial Display for Bubble (10 December 2011).
At some point yesterday, Remote Viewer decided to exit the vine permanently, and she took down her column. I had no clue until I went to her column to look up something, and…
…Oops! It seems that the page is no longer here…
I kinda panicked. I hollered at her that her column was gone and that is when she informed me that she’d taken it down.
I wish she’d left her column in place, and maybe taken a Vinecation for as long as she needed, but what is done is done, and she is no longer on the Vine.
Truth be told, she’s been pretty stressed out lately with all kinds of demands, unavoidable demands, on her time and considerable talents. She needed to decompress in some way, and decided to eliminate some of the demands on her time and attention. Thus, her Newsvine column was first to go, as well as her Facebook page.
She seriously thought she wouldn’t be missed, but I think she was wrong about that. I live with her, and I miss her presence here!
One topic weighed on her heavily: the sudden, unexpected death of her hamster, Bubble, somewhere on the night of December 9th or the morning of the 10th. Her Vine friends all knew Bubble for her Blog on RV’s column. RV thought maybe she’d have another of her hamsters, Syriana, compose an obituary for Bubble, but with too many other things weighing on her, she never got around to doing it. So, I’m using my inadequate skills to inform everyone of the loss of Bubble, along with the loss of RV’s column.
I am hoping that someday she will decompress enough to want to return. But, unless and until that happens, I wanted to let her many Vine friends know that she has departed the Vineyard, and why. She wants everyone to know how grateful she is for the friendships that were offered to her here.
R.I.P. Bubble, and enjoy your “retirement,” Remote Viewer.
